Where can I register?
You can register for AltspaceVR from within-VR or on our website here.
After signing up you will receive a confirmation email titled "Confirmation instructions" from "AltspaceVR@altvr.com". Gmail has been known to stick these messages in the "Promotions" tab, so if you don't see it in your inbox, be sure to check in there.
Clicking the link provided in the confirmation email is what actually affixes your email to your account. Before you do this, you won't be able to log back into your account if you accidentally get logged off, log on from another device, or access your account on our website.

Which name will other users see?
Your "First Name" is what other users will see above your avatar, your "Username" will be displayed in the friends tab of the menu for people who have added you as a friend.
Does my first name have to be unique?
No, users can share the same First Name. So if you'd like to simply go by "Dave" or "Jane" you can do just that. Your First Name can also include spaces while the username cannot.
I can't remember my password, how can I reset it?
You can reset your password here.
How can I change my name?
If you'd like to change the name associated with your account please send us a ticket. Make sure to include the email associated with your account, your current name, and the name you'd like to use in the future.
My menu is blank and I cannot sign up, what can I do?
If your "You" menu is not displaying a restart of AltspaceVR will fix the issue and allow you to sign in. After restarting if you are still having issues with your menus not displaying correctly please ensure that both your VR headset and your 2D monitor are plugged into the same GPU.
